Lash Out Butterfly Mascara Review

The packaging. I'm just a fan overall of L'oreal's thin brushes and fine bristles. It's easier to control and I feel it makes my eyelashes longer. Yes I could be suffering from a placebo effect but hey, whatever works right?

This is what the brush looks like. I'd recommend longest side down, so as your pulling at your lashes the longer side is dragging along.

Lush Review | Hottie Massage Bar

http://www.lushusa.com/Hottie/03864,en_US,pd.html#start=4
Fiercely in love with the massage bars at Lush. Like I'm not a person who gets super extravagant with personal body care and spend a lot of money to pamper myself but these are an exception. I can use it on myself and they allow the skin to move for a longer period of time than just lotion and it isn't messy like massage oils.

WARNING: DO NOT LEAVE IN HEAT OR ANYWHERE THAT WILL MAKE IT MELT!
I'd advise you to leave it in your refrigerator but in a place where it can be put by itself because your food will start to smell like the bar if you leave it too close to it. The bumps obviously melt away after a lot of use so I wish the bumps were deeper into the bar/taller or something so that it doesn't become a flat brick after using it. It reminds me of lego pieces. :)

Noir et Blanc | A Silent Film Featuring Asos Sequin Maxi Dress

Seriously so in love with this dress. I cannot begin to express how much I'm in love with this dress. It's super simple but so perfectly designed it compliments my body structure perfectly. The slight down the side sounds weird, but trust me it's just works. It's not as plunging as I thought it would be which is great news because I don't have to find some special bra to wear with it. I'm a true size 4 for Asos and I'm 5'2" so 3 inch heels (AT LEAST) are necessary to wear this dress. Check it out in action.

ANDDD I was fortunate enough to get it from Spylight! Spencer actually wore this dress in black in an earlier PLL episode. It was gorgeous on her and I knew I had to get the same! I was a little disappointed to find out I accidentally picked it in Oxblood but couldn't be more happier with the accident! The color is gorgeous.

Pier 76 Review | Long Beach, CA

Ever since I had a lobster roll at Joan's on 3rd, I've been searching for a comparable one because their's is only sold on certain days/seasonal whatever it is. It's seriously, the best thing I've ever tasted. OKAY not the BEST thing I've ever tasted but really freakin good. It was totally worth the price and the bread was perfect. It perfectly held in everything and didn't get soggy. POINT IS! Pier 76 is absolutely not comparable. The lobster was the best part of it and I wish the bread didn't get soggy at the bottom. Everything in my roll fell out of it and I didn't eat the soggy bits. The sour creme, tomato and bacon were a bit odd. It didn't make it taste particularly better but I would't recommend them changing it only because it's unique to their shop. The lobster roll was decently priced so I guess I can't complain, but the bread though. That needs to be fixed. There's garage parking that's validated but I'm not sure how many hours it covers because the day I went people were fixing the gates and so the guy pretty much just asked how long we were there when I handed him my validation and he told me I could go ahead and go. So if anyone has better information about that please share.

Best thing about coming here is a free lemonade if you check-in on yelp. Not sure how long that'll last.

#LUSHoween | Lord of Misrule x Wizard

http://www.lushusa.com/Lord-of-Misrule/03898,en_US,pd.html#start=14

This is one of my favorite bombs so far because of the color it ends up being. Don't be fooled by its green exterior, it's actually this gorgeous wine color. It makes me feel super elegant and comfortable. I must say I haven't found any of the scents to be appalling and genuinely enjoy each product.

http://www.lushusa.com/Wizard/05400,en_US,pd.html#q=wizard&start=1

I mixed this with Wizard which made the bath absolutely perfect. There were light pearly swirls floating around. It literally looked like Unicorn hair floating around the bathtub. One of my favorite cocktails so far.

Both products were purchased by myself and the opinions of this blog are always my own.

Pictures of my perfect water.
It looks like I can drink it.

#LUSHoween | Sparkly Pumpkin x Fizzbanger

So this one is currently out of stock and I don't know what the status of it is in stores. This little nugget is actually super powerful. I'd highly recommend breaking this bubble bar in half to use twice, and if you're really skilled break it into 3 pieces. It's actually not as glittery as I had anticipated when it broke down. It was super sparkly when I touched it prior to putting it into the water but wasn't as noticeable when it's in the water. Wish they had their holiday products year round! I'd definitely buy again.

I mixed it with Fizzbanger which made my bath super yellowy. Not a fan of the color although it smelled nice.
See how frothy the Sparkly Pumkpin is? I definitely wasted it by using the whole thing.

Elizabeth Mott you're so FINE Eyeliner | November Glam Bag

I've been needing a new eyeliner so this coming in the my bag couldn't have been any better timing. I love how well it stays on and how thick it is. Sometimes liquid eyeliner is too watery and it just looks sloppy, but this one is quite heavy and pigmented. Even though there are glitter flakes in there, it's not overwhelming and it's REALLY black. Good job Elizabeth Mott. I'm a fan.

DIY Kim Possible Outfit/Costume

KP was seriously one of the best female role models growing up who balanced a perfect combination of social life, school, and saving the world. No big right? Not only was she badass, but her parents were too. Mrs. Possible being a brain surgeon, Mr. Possible being a rocket scientist and Nana Possible being a freakin aviatrix (female pilot). And although her parents were well renown and made a lot of money Kim worked for everything she ever wanted such as all her connections when traveling and working a Beuno Nacho for a Club Banana jacket. If there was one Disney Channel show I couldn't live without, it'd hands down be Kim Possible.

Elizabeth Mott Tint & Sass | Cherry

This is the first time I've ever tried a lip stain and sorry to say I am very disappointed in the product. I love the color as it really reflective of a cherry red but it quickly fades within a matter of minutes. I kid you not. It looks perfect when you apply it and slowly fades.

Would definitely recommend to make their formula better but maintain their color.
I would not personally buy it and I wouldn't recommend buying it without testing it first.

Pacifica Natural Water-Proof Eye Pencil Review | Fringe

I'm not a huge fan of pencil eyeliners to begin with so I really want to like this product. Unfortunately my eye shape doesn't allow me to wear pencil eyeliner because it gets on my eyelid and my eyeballs sweat so much that it comes right off.

I wouldn't say it's "waterproof" although when I put it on my arm it was more resistant than when I applied it to my eyes. My eyelids sweat it right off even after applying primer potion.

I love the color, but once again I'd love it more if it was liquid. It's like really deep mocha color.

Wouldn't personally buy it but I would definitely recommend it to anyone who does use pencil.

DIY Anna Costume (Frozen) | Last Minute Halloween Ideas!

I absolutely love how this costume turned out and I didn't think it'd match so well. Unfortunately I didn't have the floral details as Anna, but I think it is a good representation of her dress. I like when I can put together items I already own to make a costume because this way I can wear the clothes aside from Halloween. Plus it saves money. :D

GRWM & OOTN Feat. The Mechanical Bull Tour

Talk about one of the hottest nights of October. No joke it felt like Palms Springs summer in Hollywood on an October night. It's unbelievable how how it was. I was anticipating to wear tights and socks but it didn't even get cool enough for me to want to put on either of the items. I got seats down in the box area which was a totally different experience from up in the bleachers. Either way, the Bowl is very tightly packed and even though you get more space down in the boxes, the chairs are still RIGHT next to each other. Luckily the other people in our box didn't end up showing up so it was quite comfy.

I was drawn to this concert since I'm a Young the Giant fan and knew that Kings of Leon played well live, so it seemed only common sense to go. I wish I had went to the Irvine show because YTG had a longer set and that's who I mainly came to see. So bummed they only played for like 40 min. It seemed really odd to me that they would be an opener since they've had headline shows themselves. They didn't even play half the songs I thought they'd play and I must say I enjoyed my last concert with them at the OC Country Fair much better. It was cool to see Kings of Leon but I pretty much only knew like three songs so it wasn't as enjoyable as I thought it'd be. Guess I should learn lyrics before I see shows huh?

And Christ Martin showed up. I think this is the closest to a Coldplay concert I will ever be.

The make up was inspired by Gaga's. I wish I could get it to look half as good as hers and when I finished I thought it looked similar and then I looked at the picture again and I was like not even close.

This could be due to our eye shape and that she has a professional make-up artist doing her face. Also, it looks like she has gel liner and went heavier on the black. Must try it again.

Cargo Cosmetics Picture Perfect CC Cream Review + Demo

I haven't worn any sort of face make up in ages, so using this CC Cream made me very excited because even though I'm not fully knowledgeable in the differences between all the different kinds of creams (BB vs. CC vs. DD), I feel like any thing with those in it, makes the product okay to use on my skin.

This is word for word used from http://www.dermstore.com/product_Picture+Perfect+CC+Cream+Broad+Spectrum+SPF+20+-+Medium_55820.htm :
"CARGO _HD Picture Perfect CC Cream SPF 20 is formulated to hydrate, smooth and conceal complexion flaws for a natural and radiant look. Color-adapting pigments provide perfect coverage to visibly minimize the appearance blemishes, discoloration spots or any other imperfection. Sodium hyaluronate binds moisture and helps fill in fine lines and wrinkles while spf protection shields against sun damage."

So with that being said, I have all those issues mentioned above so having coverage that improves those issues makes me a very happy camper. I got my sample from Ulta (the one's the come from ordering online, picked 3 random samples and I received this product!). At first I thought, this is a measly little sample but the term "a little goes a long way" really applies to this product. So I ended up getting another container to put the rest of the sample in it to reuse again. I probably put at max half of a pea size on my finger to cover my entire face. The first time I used it, I put WAY too much not realizing how much coverage it has so I didn't like it at first. But after using it repeatedly for the last few days, I'm quite happy with it. I received it in the color Medium so luckily it matches really well. I was skeptical at first because it was like a white color but once I applied it to my face it instantly becomes skin color. I also like that it has SPF, all make up products should have SPF in it (in my opinion) to protect you from the sun. I haven't been breaking out from it (SO FAR) so I am definitely considering to buy it as my main foundation, which is really exciting because I've been waiting to finally use make up again because I'm always afraid make up will make me break out. Anyway, check out the pictures and demo below.

RE: 24 Trends Guys HATE But Women Love Right now

Everything is totally wrong with the comments on this. It's okay that they dislike the trends but their comments are so assholey it's rude. I am offended.

http://laglobalnews.com/24-trends-guys-hate-but-women-love-right-now/?utm_source=yahoo

At first I was like okay, I can agree with some of the stuff (e.g., peplum shirts and wedge sneakers, I personally just don't care for them but I'm not going to criticize any person who wishes to wear them), but then criticizing high-waisted anything, fake nails, bright lipstick and "Too High heels", it feels like they're threatened by a strong woman. It sounds domineering and anti-feminine. Get over yourself.

Few of the pet peeves.

High Waisted Jeans and Mom comment - are you trying to criticize mom's then for wearing that type of clothing? It's like trying to insult a mom.

Ulta High Heels - are you threatened by a woman who's taller than you?

The Pant Suit - By all means, if it makes her feel confident when she goes to work, let her rock it.

Criticizing the Drop-Crotch pants? So it's okay for men to wear their pants that low but not okay for women? Okay hypocrites.

First Impressions | Briogeo Don't Despair, Repair!

Let's get something straight here.
How the heck am I supposed to repair my hair with such a tiny container of product?

I literally used the whole thing in one use. So much for repairing my hair. -__-
Although it claims to be a "repairing mask for dry, damaged, or chemically-treated hair", my hair does not feel any better and actually feels worse after using it.
Unless you're telling me my hair is beyond treatment, it didn't work. I ended up using conditioner after leaving this hair mask in and it still doesn't feel any better. It literally feels like the last bit of life was sucked out of my hair.

WOULD NOT BUY.

Pür Foundation Review | Light

As you may or may not have known, I have acne prone skin and so finding a good foundation that doesn't cause breakouts has been a struggle for me. Since early January of this year, I stopped using any face make up products in fear of causing irritation on my skin and thus causing me to breakout. I've finally got to a point in my skin journey where my skin is not quite clear but much better than it has been in years. I get occasional breakouts but the redness is mostly gone. On my mission to finding a new foundation. I went to Ulta to get new samples but unfortunately they don't give samples any more. So I sat there and the worker put the PÜR foundation on me because the one I was interested in (derma brand something) was remodeling their packaging and said that probably feel heavy on my skin. She said that PÜR had great coverage and felt light on the skin. I must say it did feel light, covered all my acne scars, and it felt very mattified. So touching it after application was immovable. I thought Light was too light for me but after wearing it throughout the day and letting it mix with my natural oils did it finally look okay. I haven't tried it again but from this one instance, I feel sold on this product. Let me know your thoughts and whether it's good for acne prone skin.

Greatest discovery ever

Did you know that any music you buy through Amazon automatically comes with a free MP3 download?! This is the best invention ever. You'll have to download the Amazon Music App for Mac (if you're using Mac), but it's easy and exports directly to iTunes. I'm in love.

Reactions to Once Upon A Time Season 4 Premiere

I was super stoked for this premiere. I absolutely made no plans to make sure I caught this episode right when it was released for my time zone, to be sadly let down by one of the least intriguing episodes I've ever watched of Once Upon a Time. I'm probably the only one feeling this way but I just don't feel that it's magical. It feels quite gimmicky and rushed together. The way they ended Season 3 was freakin awesome and brilliant and it was just perfect, so to watch this was a complete let down.

I think introducing Anna and Elsa this way was a brilliant idea (i.e., it's staged after the movie ended with Anna being engaged to Kristof) but I just don't feel interested. I think they did a great job of matching the actors to their characters, especially Anna's. She replicated Kristen Bell's ditzy-ness and bubbly-ness of Anna. I was not a fan of Kristof's acting. I thought he had no soul or passion for the character. I liked how they brought in the trolls and the giant snowman (although his name slips my mind, trust me he has a name. Check out the Frozen Free Fall game if you don't believe me). So here's a list of the major issues I have with this episode:

The time span makes no sense at all. Unless Anna, Elsa, AND Kristof were some how frozen in time, it makes no sense how they got from "A very long time ago" to "Present Day". Uh what the heck? They didn't think about that when they wrote it and it's like I understand they're going back and forth between the two worlds but I still think the present day in the Enchanted Forest ticks the same was as Storybrooke. Unless they exist in some weird time continuum, I'm just not happy about the whole time issue.

So Regina wants to "change her fate"right? But the major issue I have with "finding the author" is that I THOUGHT it was Pinocchio. Since he's the one who made the book to give to Emma to make her believe and now the book becomes it's own entity that magically changes on it's own to illustrate the happy endings. Now if it is Pinocchio, are they going to revert him back to August E. Booth (who is by the way, supposed to be older than Emma by some odd years), this theory makes no sense at all! I mean I would love to have August come back as a character but some major magic is going to need to do this and it just gets so confusing! UNLESS they make some OTHER character become the book writer, then maybe they could get away with it. OR if August got the book writing power from someone else who is the TRUE book writer, MAYBE then it'd all make sense. This doesn't even make sense as I'm writing it but geezus I wish they thought about this a LITTLE bit better.

And introducing the hat from Fantasia at the SAME time as introducing Frozen? Holy moly there's way too many things going on already but I guess it's setting the stage from some wickedly cool episode in the future (at least I hope right?).

I could have sworn I read that Zelena isn't actually dead. But I guess she really is dead. It would have been interesting to see her fight for happiness.

Things I do want for future episodes: Yes Emma and Hook belong together. They have my blessing.
REGINA DESERVES A HAPPY ENDING AND YES SHE SHOULD BE WITH ROBIN!
Oh speaking of which, soooo didn't Tink introduce Regina to Robin wayyy back when Regina was trying to get over Daniel? And that the wand or magic that Tinkerbell used specifically directed those who were destined to be together? SO by FATE Robin and Regina need to be together, regardless of the circumstances? Because that magic freakin doesn't lie?! So by that logic, I SHOULD expect those two to be together. If not, I'm over Once Upon A Time. (Chya, I wish. I wouldn't stop watching this show even if I despised the story line, I'm just so addicted to watching them develop these characters and their stories). Anyway back to the topic at hand!
Henry needs to save Regina from whatever evil plot.
Want to see the characters in their iconic Disney forms! (like the way they showed Belle and "Beast")

Those are just OPINIONS so don't take them too seriously. I'd love to hear what you have to say so feel free to leave a comment below.

One Night Only's New Single - Get Around To It

I've been a fan of One Night Only since late 2009, early 2010 and so I'm totally stoked that they've finally released a new single since "Can You Feel It" for a Coca Cola Campaign (Holy geezus I just checked when that was released and that was February 2011! Over 3 years since they last put something out). I've loved their songs both Started a Fire and One Night Only and their vibe fit with their music and I must say both CDs were ones you could listen all the way through. HOWEVER, their new single they just put out doesn't seem to fit them. I love the musicality of it but no offense to George Craig but his voice just doesn't fit with the music, and honestly sounds like they've been heavily influenced by The 1975, which is totally fine but their music before seemed to fit them much better. I think the songs that best fit them were "Just For Tonight" and "Chemistry". Well maybe this single finally might get them touring over here. Shrugs. Check the songs out for yourself.

I don't know why this one ^^ is such poor quality but I thought I'd put the full song up.

CORRECTION! Just saw their Youtube page and they actually released "Long Time Coming" two years ago, but still that's a long ass time since the last release of their song.

Hikari Cosmetics | Lipstick - Cabernet

In this issues September Glam Bag, I received a full sized lipstick from Hikari Cosmetics. Never heard of the brand but I must say I love this color (Cabernet if you didn't read the title). It's a bit lighter from my other wine colored lipstick (Rimmel London Bordeaux) and would probably say it falls more on the "berry side" but definitely has this red wine feel to it. It totally works for fall and it's the perfect transition color for those you aren't ready to dive into the darker ones yet. The longest I've had it on is 8 hours and I hardly drank or ate anything so I guess that's not really a good measurement of durability BUT at least you know what happens if you don't consume anything it lasts really well. The color is still as vibrant as it was when I first put it on, but I'll definitely give an update on how well it works with food and drink consumption.

Bordeaux - Left | Cabernet - Right

The only downside to this lipstick, is that it's really staining. As you can tell from the photo above, you'll definitely need make up remover or toner to take it off completely. Also, it does come off with food and drink consumption although as you can tell from the photo it still has some pigments left even if you wipe it off. Overall, I'd recommend it.

bareMinerals 5 in 1 BB Advanced Performance Cream Eyeshadow

This is seriously my go-to make-up at the moment. It's easy to use and the color is fantastic. The only problem is that I'm not sure which color I actually have since it was given to me in my Glam Bag and the stupid thing didn't provide you with the name of the color. I will go with the hunch that it's probably the Taupe because when I was comparing it online the color most resembled it. ANYWAY. This sucker is great. It's long lasting and it lasts even longer if you use another primer before putting it on (I use the Urban Decay Primer potion and it lasted approx 17 hours). Sometimes if I'm lucky though, all I need is the 5 in 1. What I like about this product is that it's mattified yet still has sparkle in it. I've grown up always loving those shimmery colors and thinking I'd never outgrow it, but boy was I wrong. I've been more interested in matte colors probably because I feel it's more age appropriate (I AM NOT CRITICIZING SHIMMERY EYESHADOWS, my first love still goes to them), but it's definitely fun to explore different textures with your make-up so I'm glad the Glam Bags force me to try to use different products. Anyway, this product was featured in my August Favorites (worn in the video and demo), so check out that video below.

Avalon Organics Lavender Toner + Exfoliating Enzyme Scrub Review

Not sure if I like this toner. Definitely not a fan of the smell. I do like the fact that it's organic and you can buy while your grocery shopping at your local Sprouts Farmers Market. It was recommended to me by a dermatologist and I haven't experienced anything amazingly different in my skin aside from the fact that it is a new regiment.

I do really like the scrub though. It really makes my skin feel super soft after using it. I would like more beads in it to get the feel that I'm scrubbing the crap off my face but that's just a personal thing. It's probably better there's less of that anyway because I scrub so hard at my face. This one I didn't notice a smell to it and I'd only use an amount that would fit on the tip of your finger (at least from experience). I feel like if you use too much it's wasting it but I haven't figured out yet if it's best to apply first without water or apply WITH water. Between this one and the Clinique one I've discussed before, I'm kind torn between the two because Clinique feels more beady and has salicylic acid but the Avalon Scrub is organic and feels like I've had a honey scrub on. So try both.

Let me know what your thoughts are on both these products. xx

Lush Bath Cocktail Feat. Twilight Bomb + Comforter Bubble Bar

Yeah I just realized this blog post wasn't up and so I apologize for the delay (none of you probably keep up with my blog anyway, so what am I talking about. ;) )

Anyhoo! For anyone who needs a time for relaxation, making a bath cocktail will surely do the trick. I specifically picked the Twilight Bomb and Comforter Bubble Bar for it's calming properties.

These photos are taken directly from their website so you don't have to go searching all over for it on the internet. It smells really nice and it has softens your skin quite a bit. Maybe not as much as the melt bars but it definitely helps. As I've mentioned in my video review, there are bits of glitter in the bath bomb so you may want to rinse off after. I did not experience any irritation when I did not rinse off so I don't think it's necessary to do so. There's also teal/blueish color towards the middle of the bomb which doesn't effect the color of your water so don't fret that you'll get gross looking bath water.
Also, for the bubble bar, use HALF of the bar and not a quarter of it because it won't be a bubble-filled if you only use a quarter of the bar. Yes it's very potent for just a quarter but it won't last as long and it doesn't fill the tub completely.

Check out my video review below:

Encore | Tower King Suite Review

I can't stress how much I enjoy my stay here and wish I stayed longer. (Skip below for the video of room tour). The bed really is to die for. I literally had one of the most comfortable-est sleep of my life. The bed is so cushy, it reminds me of when I was a kid and get all the pillows I possibly could to make a nest so I could imagine sleeping on clouds. Anyway, I think the location is really perfect since it is most north of the strip so it's quieter and the view is spectacular (at least the room I was in). The layout of the suite is quite spacious. I definitely enjoyed the bathroom space and the living room area (although this is the area I least used). The buttons to control the lighting and drapes were ridiculously awesome and convenient. I literally had everything I had at the touch of a button. And it has doorbells! But you can set your room to "Privacy" so they don't ring it. Here's a breakdown of everything that I enjoyed...

Bathroom: Separate shower and bath tub with a sitting area in the shower. I generally like those types of showers because they are spacious and allows me to spread all my washing materials. The bath was fun, although I've seen grander tubs. I used my LUSH products here and had an awesome bubble bath (check out my Lush review). It comes with 4 sets of towels, I only used 1. The hotel also provides you with things you may need (e.g., cotton swabs, nail filer, shoe polish, body lotion, and shower cap). I really liked those amenities because you never know when you'll need those! I did think the sink was a bit high, especially for my short self. I had to tip toe to get a full view of my hair when I was curling it so I definitely think the bathroom area was made for tall people in mind. I liked how there was ledges all around the bathroom so it was great when I needed to place things out of wet areas (like my phone and camera). Also there's a plug on the make-up mirror so that's convenient. They provide a hair dryer with a retractable cord (as you can see I'm so easily entertained by things). Then the separate toilet with a phone? Yeeah so I can only assume the phone is for emergencies...? But I can also see people having business calls on there since they give the "Line 1" and "Line 2" options...sooo you know..whatever floats their canoe. I wish I used the robes but didn't have time to!

Bed Area: As I said, I LOVE THIS BED! Would I pay the price they offer it for? Hmmm maybe. If I ever get the chance to afford it, yeah I'd consider it. But I really love it. Both sides of the bed have nightstands with their own lamps WITH PLUGS! So that's great especially when you need to charge your cell on it. What was weird is that the lower suites have the iPhone 4 dock but the upper floors have iPhone 5 dock? I think they should standardize the docks or ask the visitor which phone they have in order to accommodate them better. The side nearest the walkway had the panel with all the buttons that control the sheers, drapes, lighting and privacy. I loved each of the options because the sheers allowed us to still look outside at the beautiful view while quickly accessing the drapes for when it got too bright. There's also another phone in this area which automatically resorts to speaker phone. This is good because phone's are dirty but a little confusing at first to use.

Living Room/Desk Space: Yes all the plugs were fantastic! I like how there were seats on both sides of the desk as well as the multiple lighting in this area (also comes with phone). I wish I used this space more but the couches did look a bit dusty. Because they were black, it was easy to spot things that looked like they shouldn't be there. The room view was gorgeous.
Day

Night
Trust me, these pictures do not do this view justice.

I loved the color scheme they used for the entire room (beige, white, and black).

THE POOL AEA! OH EM GEE! It was perfectly perfect. It had the right amount of height, not too cold and not too hot, and man where they on it if there was any debris in the pool. Poolside drinks? HECK YES! I ordered the Mango Lassi and absolutely loved it! I've had it non-alcoholic and enjoy the drink as is, but the way they made it was on point! It was one of the first things I've ordered that I know I made the right decision. Yes it is pricey. Almost makes me cringe but it was definitely worth the experience. They also provide you with two towels per person (one I'm guessing to lay on the benches and one dry with) which I did use for what I guessed so that was really nice. They also provide water. Thumbs up Wynn. That's really awesome of you.

Didn't get to use the fitness area unfortunately. I definitely need to try that out next time I come.

Would definitely love to come here again.

Downtown Las Vegas and Four Queens Hotel and Casino

This was my first time staying in Downtown Las Vegas (at least from what I recall). There are 9 casinos in this area and I stopped by each even though I didn't play in all of them. Four Queens perks are only good if you book a stay with them and if you plan to play a lot. Otherwise I wouldn't recommend opening a players card here. (Before I continue on, I am unsure of how this point system works with all the hotels. So if you know how to use it ignore my comments.) I would recommend Golden Nugget and Binions players card because they offer decent perks. Golden Nugget allows you to get a free spin to win miscellaneous items (ranging from a donut to $1,000 in cash, and yes I would be the one to win a free Dunkin Donut). Binions allows you to get a free Ace for Black Jack and $10 match play ONLY if you're a new member. So it sucks for people who already have one, so I was fortunate enough to get to experience those perks. Your money definitely goes a lot farther here in Downtown than on the strip. My favorite slot machine is the Hangover one so it's only 25 cents to play (found in The D and I think the Golden Gate) so that made me super happy. I find the progressive games to be the most fun. If you want to gamble, this is the place to come.

ONLY downside about this area is just around the corner is a really unsafe area of town. I had no idea that it was common for gunshots in this area, so clearly I didn't get the joke when I went to the Neon Museum that if you here "pop pop" sounds it all a part of the tour. Unfortunately I can't share the photos from the Neon Museum as there for my own "personal use". Sorry guys. Anyway, I'd highly recommend going to this if you're really into the history of Las Vegas. Some tips I'd change about the tour: Although it is only an hour, I feel it should be longer. I know it's not a large boneyard but to fully experience the guided tour and take pictures at the same time is hard to do so. I didn't hear half of the information the tour-guide explained because I was so focused on taking pictures.

Four Queens Stay: It was definitely a decent stay. Although their housekeeping needs to get their shit together. WHY IS IT SO DUSTY IN THE ROOMS?! Like my remote, phone, and lamps were covered in dust. It felt like someone hadn't used the room in weeks although everything else was spotless.  Not sure why this is the case. The toilets may not flush so that was weird cause the fluids would disappear but not the toilet paper? And the bathroom light is super noisy because it has a fan for when you shower. Not my favorite so I tried to minimize bathroom light usage. Obviously didn't stay in the room much because I was out an about on Fremont street. I'd like to try other hotels before I'd stay here again. Check out the room tour below:

I did experience difficulties with this online site called Kayak who's affiliated with Get a Room. The front desk woman even expressed that Expedia is the best for those types of things and we surely found on how much they are unorganized. We were supposed to get $15 food and beverage credit but we couldn't get it because Get a Room didn't send the paperwork regarding our credit so obviously the hotel can't grant it without it. Ruby the front desk manager was very accommodating and tried to help us but Kayak/Get a Room literally was so delayed in sending the information Four Queens needed to get us our credit. After speaking with Sandy from Get a Room she told us that Victor from Escalations was going to call Ruby (Four Queens) or send her the information, which didn't happen and made us very upset. Would definitely not book a room through this website. Ruby was nice enough to give us breakfast vouchers but man, this is unacceptable. You can't offer something on your website and not grant it. ESPECIALLY if there is an exchange of money and confirmation you sent to your customer. Not impressed.

Anyway, more to come on my Vegas vacation. Stay tuned for information about my stay at Encore!

Dudu Osun African Black Soap Review and Thoughts

I am so sad that this is no longer my "main soap" of the moment but I must say I was very happy with the results of it. Finding what works best for your skin is a trial and error and I think this was the best soap that I've used in my entire acne prone skin life. I've heard pure African black soaps are more effective but as I've said, I'm quite happy with the results.

You can watch my full journey here.
It's most effective during the Spring/Summer months and using it only by itself, which I found out later on. I would put so much additional crap on my face but all I needed was this soap.
I did stop using face-up, although I'm dying for the chance to be able to use it again. Although I've been able to clear up the blemishes, the coloration in my face is still uneven and heavily scarred. But it's okay! And you'll be okay! Trust me I've literally had acne for more than half my life and have tried so many combinations of things that I would highly recommend to use this soap. And in my opinion, don't always trust what the dermatologist has to prescribe. Remember, this is my OPINION. You do what makes you feel good and feel most comfortable doing. Unfortunately, I feel like a hypocrite because here I am using what the dermatologist told me to use (gotta make mother happy since she put so much money out). I just wanna use it and be like look, I was perfectly content with using Dudu Osun and found it dramatically cleared my face, so I'm gonna stick with it. As soon as I am cleared from the dermatologist, you know I will be back using this soap.

Hope you're having luck with your skin journey!

Ion Color Brilliance Brights | Mint Review

I think I say this with every dye, but I freakin love this color. I think this is most like me in every way. I mean I love my rainbow hair but I really adore the way my hair came out for this round of color. I think Ion Color Brilliance changed their formula because this one didn't wash out splotchy like it normally does and it didn't even bleed when I was it with soap and water. I may be speaking too soon as I've only washed it once. I did experience two shades of the color (roots and ends of hair), which may be due to freshly bleached hair so it was taking differently than the rest of my head, it or could be because there's more yellow in my roots than the end of my hair so it was able to take the true color of the dye. Shitty part about it though is that we were afraid that my hair wouldn't take this color dye so we literally globbed it on to make sure it stayed AND I slept with the dye in my hair overnight. Total process = approx 5-6 hours including bleach and putting dye in. It may have been less because during the bleaching session, we ran out of developer so we had to run to the store. But anyway, totally boxes = 5 Mint + 2 Lavender. Holy geezus 7 boxes is a lot and Sally's sells out of the mint so fast. What a dilemma. Hopefully they have some soon by my next dying session. What are your thoughts on this dye?

DIY Sea Shell Bra

I made this bra back in April, I don't know why I didn't make this post sooner.

Materials you'll need:
1 fitted bra
2 large shells
3 different colored pearls
1 bag of clear marbles
1 bottle of Gem-Tac Glue

Although this may feel awkward, put on your bra first. Put the glue on the cups and then place on your shells. I made the first mistake of trying to fit the shell to the bra without having it on so it didn't form to the cup. If you can find lighter shells (I bought mine at Michael's), I would also recommend that so the bra isn't as heavy. If I had my choice, I would have picked a regular bra NOT a strapless so it can support the weight of all the materials you put on it. But the only old one I could find was a strapless one. Once you have your seashells on there's no particular order on how to organize your materials. I would recommend the larger pieces first so that way you fit the smaller pieces between the larger pieces so it looks filled out. I stuck with more blue pieces, but you can really use any ones you want and to get a more shiny effect, put rhinestones throughout the shell and the straps of the bra.
Check out my version below:

So because I had the issue with the cups not fitting onto my body, I ended up using bandaids as pasties which was a bad idea because it just looked like a nipple anyway. -_-
Oh well. If you do make a strapless bra, it'd go with a pasty route rather than putting another bra under it (especially the sticky boobs). It just looks tacky, disjointed and awkward. At least I felt that way. Just do whatever makes you feel comfortable. Good luck! xx

Thoughts on country fairs/carnival games, Fifth Harmony & Karmin Performance

These games are totally rigged. And we all know it. So how do people still win that shit?
Only one answer.
Hackers.
It only makes sense right?
So the only game you're guaranteed to win are those water gun spray games. Unless you're really good at tossing a ball into a fish bowl or throwing a frisbee (for ring toss game).
Hacker tip 1: If it's a ball game, ask the demonstrator to use their ball. If they don't let you use it, it's probably rigged.
Hacker tip 2: Look under the hoops. Shit's oval shaped!
Hacker tip 3: Some games you can exchange small prizes for a larger one.

This concert was so awkward. I felt like an old person with a bunch of tweens.
Fifth Harmony girls were good at getting the crowd pumped and I had more fun messing around and getting into their music. We need more strong female groups. Plus they were mixed so they were good in my books. For the encore, they turned on the house lights. That was weird and then they came on stage. Concerts don't work like this.
I've loved Karmin since their Youtube days so cool seeing them live again. Amy is so freakin good. I wish she was still doing her pin up vibe but it's all good. Change is necessary for your career sometimes. They didn't do an encore. Why? Possible explanations: They were called list minute to do this concert; They had to be in Baton Rouge the next day; They forgot? I dunno man but it was weird. This is my second time an encoreless performance has occurred.

Habits to Help Clear Acne

I made a full on video about this so to get the shorter version of this watch here:

Otherwise, here's my thoughts on how to keep your face clean.

1. Stay Hydrated

Drinking the right amount of water is so beneficial for your skin and your health. Not only does it help clear your face, it helps keep your lips moisturized and keep your colin clean! Yeah I know TMI but really using the bathroom will become much easier if you drink a lot of water. I no longer need to use chapstick/lip moisturizer after staying hydrated so you'll save money from not having to buy this.
Things I like to use instead of individual water bottles are tumblers or the big 32oz bottles from PINK. They give them for free quite often so if your making your trip there get these bottles/tumblers for free.

https://www.victoriassecret.com/pink/new-arrivals/water-bottle-pink?ProductID=189919&CatalogueType=OLS
2. Washing your face every morning and night.

I'm the worse when it comes to this. I would love to say that I do this religiously but truth is sometimes I don't wash every night and morning. But really, this is really a matter of knowing your skin and washing your face when you think you need it. I use Dudu Osun as my main face wash but when I forgot to take it into the shower I've been using Clinique Exfoliating Scrub or whatever soap is currently there.

http://www.clinique.com/product/1682/6277/Skin-Care/ExfoliatorsMasks/Exfoliating-Scrub
I like buying this at Ulta because you can use the $3.50 off purchase for this which I think this is about the lowest price you can buy it at. Let me know if you've bought this cheaper elsewhere.
http://www.amazon.com/Tropical-Natural-Dudo-Osun-Black-Soap/dp/B0027Z2720/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1405383484&sr=8-3&keywords=black+soap+dudu+osun
Okay so the link I provided is for the 12 pack but you can buy them individually or for a smaller package. Make sure you cut up the soap into blocks so this lasts longer and take it out of the shower every time you use it.

3. Blow drying your hair before you sleep.

Moisture is the death of your clear skin! Seriously! I have acne on my back and neck because I go to sleep with my hair wet. I try to blow dry my hair before I sleep if I shower before I sleep but sometimes I shower too late and don't do that. In this case, I tie up my hair. See next tip.

4. Tying up your hair.

I love and hate keeping my hair down. Sometimes I get tempted to chop it all off but then when it looks good I'm so glad I didn't. But as I said moisture is the death of clear skin so keeping it out of your face is good for your skin. So is dust! Your hair contains so much dust so if your hair isn't clean than get that shit out of your face!

5. Washing your hair.

Because I dye my hair I don't wash my hair often which is bad for my skin cause I'll break out. Oh the dilemma. So my way to solve it is to put it my hair up. But if you don't have my dilemma, wash your dang hair.

6. Using a new towel every time you shower.

Yes this adds more laundry, but sometimes just changing your towel can make a big difference. It sits out all day collecting dust and it has your dirty oils from previous wash. I don't even use a towel to dry my face so why would I use it for my body/hair?

7. Washing pillow often.

Your pillow is like a breeding place for dirt. It's where you sleep so all this dust is on your pillow. Clean it so if your face does touch it, your not putting more dirt onto your face.

8. Do not sleep on your face.

As explained in previous tip, there's dust/dirt there. Sleep on your back. Not your sides and definitely NOT your stomach.

9. Clean you entire bedding.

If you sleep with your sheets up to your neck like me, you should wash the entire bedding at least once a month. There's also bed bugs and other things crawling around in there. Wash it!

10. EXERCISE!

I've been walking for an hour almost every day. If not, I find some kind of physical activity to do. You will be surprised how much this helps. It also helps so many aspects of your life. So get out there and exercise.

Vista Mirage Resort Review

This place is perfectly near everything. Less than a mile from Downtown Palm Springs and less than half an hour to El Paseo/The River/Westfield. If you're interested in this place for Coachella, it's about 45 minutes (it's right next to Club Trinidad and your hotel stop would be The Saguaro). It's literally within walking distance of a Ralph's grocery store as well as Starbucks, although I wouldn't recommend that during the months of July-August.

I like this place a lot. All your amenities are provided by the resort. It has two pools, tennis courts, and BBQs available for grilling.
Hours for use
Mon-Thurs: 8am - 10pm
Fri-Sun: 8am - 10:45pm (Why is it such an odd time? I haven't exactly figured that out.)

They have 1-3 rooms available. I stayed in two bedroom suite with two bathrooms which the tour is available below. This suite does have a pull out sofa bed. Of course not my favorite but it's better than the floor.

Kitchen: Omgosh this one is so much better than Club Trinidad. The oven is obviously bigger making the stove area bigger. I HATE ELECTRIC STOVES. They take forever to warm up so literally put it on high to get it hot and wait. But once it's hot cooking isn't a problem. It has two racks in the oven so cooking for a large crowd is a bit difficult. The dishwasher leaks. At least the room I was in. It's super loud so don't run it when you want to sleep. I like the bar area that connects with the dinning area.

Dining/Living Room: The dining area is great. The table seats 6 but with the bar area you can seat approx 8. It's great for entertaining. There's an outdoor patio in the back which we didn't use cause it was so ridiculously hot.

Front Bedroom: Tell me why this room doesn't have a TV? It has the nightstand for it like it's supposed to go there but no TV. Closet has sliding door mirror and connects to the front patio. Queen size bed. Didn't sleep in the beds so can't really comment upon their comfort.

Main Bedroom: WALK IN CLOSET!! Woot! That's my favorite part. This bedroom is connected to its own bathroom with two sinks so it's quite spacious. This bedroom does have TV with King Bed. There's a full dresser and night lamps with the plugs directly

Lash out by Be a Bombshell Review

I want to like this product but I have mixed reviews on this product as there are many things I like and dislike.

Likes

  • Elongates eyelashes (the mascara literally builds upon each other to make your lashes longer)
  • No spidery lashes (aka no clumps)

Dislikes

  • Bottle smells funny, like the packaging on it smells peculiar and almost prevents me from using it
  • Large brush. I'm just a fan of the telescopic one of l'oreal so other brands just don't cut it for me in terms of brush size. Thicker brushes are harder to handle
  • I'm not sure if it's just me but I feel like my eyelashes are falling out, but then again I left my make up overnight so that could have caused it. I haven't had consistent instances with it but definitely see my eyelashes falling out more than normal.
Let me know your thoughts on this mascara if you've used it.
Hope you're well.

xx

UPDATE: I think this mascara is awful. I barely opened it/used it and it feels all dried up. I would not recommend buying this.

Time Traveler

If you go back in time, you'll see the evolution of women.

From their clothing, to hair, to shoes, to make up, to movies, to portrayal, to their rights.
I wouldn't want to be a woman in another era, but to experience the time would be a great gift.
If you take her back to the 1920s, she'd have a mint bob and pearls draping from her ears and neck.
You wouldn't find her in old money, but in new money making her own way.
She'd have a house on Long Island and travel to the city to watch shows and find the hidden bars.
Make sure to meet her acquaintance, because you'll never know where she'll be next.

Lana Del Rey @ The Shrine Review

WHY ARE LANA FANS SO CRAZY?!
I don't get it, I understand obsessiveness over an artist (trust me, I've been there with Gaga) but I will not trample others to get to see the person. I just don't have that drive to hurt others for the sake of my self. Secondly, as I've mentioned about Coachella, I don't know why they put her on the smaller stage or why they put her in such a small venue. I literally did not get tickets for this show until the last minute, but when I was waiting for presale and actual sale date, it was sold out in a matter of minutes. People were waiting outside to buy tickets off people who decided not to go and people were camping out all day to get in the front.

Merchandise
Not a fan of the merch. I wish the poster had tour dates and I bought this black and gold foil shirt (bought at coachella) that the foil falls off. Cheap shit right? So I'm gonna frame that so I can remember the Coachella date but I don't know if they ended up putting the LA date on the new one, which I doubt because they it was added after the tour was announced.

The Venue
The place is gorgeous. It looks so historical and fits in perfectly with Lana's personality.

The workers
They are very unhappy campers. No one wants to help you and they are very persistent on not giving you your hard ticket. They told us when we got our wristbands that we would be able to acquire our tickets after the show. After talking to 4 people after the show, no one was willing to get them for us and pretty much said we don't know if we can get it to you. WHY ARE PEOPLE LIARS!? One of the ladies was set on not bringing them out to us, even though she claimed she was but you can totally tell by her demeanor that she was lying. Then another guy was just standing in the doorway preventing us from just getting them off the floor. They were scattered all over the floor and finally another fan had to pick them up and pass them out to us. The power of fandom. It was so nice of her to do that.
There was one exception. The sound guy gave us the setlist. I'm pretty sure he saved it for us the entire time. I saw at least 5 people ask for it and he saved it for us or something because some guy asked over us when we were already there asking the sound guy for the list. SO HE GAVE IT TO US! Woot. Not all people are horrible.

Waiting for her
Waited until 2 am. Don't know when she left or if she was even there the whole time we were waiting. It sucks butt because it was the last tour date so we pretty much expected her to come out for the last night. Very sad day. She did come out prior to the show and I saw her getting another guy in. Whether or not he actually got in is a mystery to me.

Ion Color Brilliance Lavender Review

I really like this dye. It's the perfect medium between pastel lavender and a deep purple color. It does fade obviously a lot quicker than the Ion Color Brilliance Purple, but the color is great. I re-did the purple section of my hair just recently and it's lasted a lot better than the last time I dyed it but it could also be I made the section larger so it's more noticeable. Tip for dying hair, literally massage the color into your head. I know it sounds corny and cheesy, but it's helped even my hair color and make it last longer. It's really comparable to the manic panic color and it fades nicely into a lighter color and that icey-blue color.

Sunshine Daisies

If only the unreal were real, magical spells and witchhunts and enchanted forests. I keep dreaming of the day I'll find my way there. Does it only exist in our minds or can magic become a reality? Have you read the books or become part of the music? Is fantasy it's own form of religion or are we doomed to mundane life. We take the brightness in our lives and decide to make our own magic.

Ion Color Brilliance Azure Review

If you don't want an extreme blue but more lighter this is the color for you. IT IS NOT A PASTEL COLOR so if you're going for that pastel look this is not the dye for you. I didn't have an issue putting the blue over the pink so it didn't come out looking purple (in the areas where it was still pink). For blue dye, this is the one I'd recommend hands down. It's always even and the color comes out really good.

My hair wasn't super white when I put it in so I wouldn't worry about it turning green later. I've honestly never had the green problem with the blue but actually with the purple dye. But it wasn't a big deal because it was like a hue of green but not like green green (if that makes sense). The only one that turned green for me was the Aqua in this brand. It started off as a nice teal color but the more it was washed the more green it turned. I haven't played with any of the lime green colors but I'm almost tempted to try it.

I didn't make a big deal about sectioning off the hair in terms of wrapping it in foil just let it hang. I think once a section of hair is dyed it's protected against the other colors. At least from my experience, I can't speak for others.

Club Trinidad Studio Suite

Yelp Review: http://www.yelp.com/biz/club-trinidad-palm-springs?hrid=l7pKHqGZpkJgaY8dgkG4rQ

I'd give this place a 3.7 out of 5, although Yelp would force me to give it the full 4 stars.

Pluses:

  • Downtown area
  • Near major banks and grocery shopping
  • Affordable
  • Full Kitchen
  • Free Parking

Downsides:

  • Water gets hot really fast. Make sure you play with it before showering.
  • You can hear a lot of things in the room next to you
  • Small Kitchen (that's just a personal preference)
  • Sometimes there isn't parking because the Purple Room people park in the places they aren't supposed to

Not a fan of the bed. It's very springy and I probably only had good sleep because I was tired from the festival. Good thing they deep clean every week so it's nice to know it's clean.
It's about more than a half hour from the Coachella festival and the shuttle is at The Saguaro Palm Springs which is literally right next to it so that's a plus if you want to take the shuttle.

Places near here:

  • Wells Fargo: 0.3 miles SW
  • Bank of America: 0.3 miles SW
  • Chase Bank: 0.3 miles SW
  • Vons 2.0 miles West
  • Target: 2.7 miles West
  • Trader Joes: 2.7 miles West
  • Downtown Palm Springs: 3 miles East

Ion Color Brilliance Brights | Rose Review

This is definitely most comparable to the Manic Panic Cotton Candy Pink. I had a difficult time applying it because it just wouldn't absorb to my hair. But I did like a rainbow color scheme with the Color Jamz Bubble Head Pink as the main color. It looked awesome but the brightness of the other pink didn't let the Rose dye show as prominently. I didn't add any blue to it to keep the brassy colors out, which I wouldn't recommend anyway due to the lightness of the color already. As of right now (1.5 weeks later) it's still hanging in there, color wise but if you're going for a candy color pink I'd start with the brighter colors only to make it last longer.

I also used a protein filler prior which could have also enhanced the color as well as applied it to damp hair. Anyway, I'm sticking to just dying my roots to protect the rest of the color/hair, so I will probably be sticking to pink for awhile. Any other recommendations for pink dyes let me know.

Chasing the Sun | Part II

She's got color in her hair

and ambition in her eyes
she only chases what's beyond her reach
She'll keep on thriving on the light that's left behind the sunset
